Greetings my friends. I have been battling Satan ..for he has been doing his best to keep me from posting on here all this month.
Ephesians 6:12-13 says:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
After 3 weeks of spiritual attack from the evil one, by the blood of Jesus and His mercy and grace and His Word, I still stand…yet weary. And it’s not been a head on kind of warfare. It’s more like sneak attacks, like Pearl Harbor…hit and run. Unconventional warfare. The latest attack came from of all things…a raccoon. Not just any raccoon but one apparently someone tried to make it into a pet. And of all places it to end up was my front porch. I love animals and I felt sorry for this poor creature but I soon realized this was going to be a major problem when it became increasingly aggressive with my dog and was damaging my home. The person who tried to make a wild animal a pet gave it a death sentence I reluctantly was forced to carry out. People seem to have this ignorant Disney worldview of the animal kingdom that hasn’t existed since sin ruined the harmony of Eden.
Romans 8:21-23 says:
That the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
Satan knows I love animals and used that against me. I groan and weep for what had to be done because sin destroyed the harmony of animal and human relations.
Matthew 10:29 says:
But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
God saw what I did. He also saw the little grave next to the woods. The blanket I carefully wrapped the creature in. The tears shed as I buried the animal. I look forward to the day coming prophesied in Isaiah 11:6-9
And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
Also the cow and the bear will graze,
Their young will lie down together,
And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,
And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.
They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain.
May you come quickly dear Jesus! Amen.
